LineCutterz Fishing line ring: PDB TESTED No. 176

September 2015 PDB Tested

Let’s just go ahead and add this ring to the “Why didn’t I think of that?” list of great inventions. Often times the simplest ideas are the best and such is the case with the LineCutterz ring. The idea came from Vance Zahorski who decided he was done with rusty, ratty, inefficient line-cutting tools. After 35 years of cutting line with his teeth or fumbling for scissors or knives, the Texas angler came up with a better way. Once we heard about it, we knew we had to give LineCutterz a try ourselves.

LineCutterz is a sleek, fully-adjustable ring featuring an integrated double-sided blade that is perfect for quick and efficient cutting of mono-filament and braided fishing line.

You simply hold the lure and line in one hand and slide the eyelet of the lure through the ring's top, leaving just the right amount of line to ensure the knot will not pull out. It couldn’t be easier.

The ring retails for $12 or you can buy a package of five that drops the cost down to $10 per ring (because you know your friends are going to want one too). Each ring is fully adjustable from a child’s finger to sausage-size fingers like mine.
