West Marine recently awarded Lori Giampoli a $1,000 shopping spree thanks to her incredible fundraising efforts on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Leukemia Cup Regatta series.

This Geneva, Ill., sailor was chosen from Leukemia Cup Regatta participants throughout North America who raised at least $500 in 2015 and were entered in a drawing to win the $1,000 shopping spree donated by West Marine, a longtime supporter of the Regatta series. Together with the crew of her family’s sailboat, Jahazi, Giampoli had raised more than $38,000. Overall, Team Jahazi has raised nearly $425,000 through the years being a part of the Columbia Yacht Club Regatta series.

The Leukemia Cup Regatta is committed to helping blood cancer patients and their families fight the disease and work towards a cure. West Marine is accepting in-store donations at West Marine stores within a 25-mile radius of all scheduled Regatta events throughout 2016 as well.
