New Yamaha Talon Pontoon Propeller

June 2016 Product

Yamaha has launched the Talon Pontoon SDS Propeller. Their blade design combines the smooth, quiet-shifting and low-speed operational benefits of their Shift Dampener System to give mid-range pontoon owners a new solution.

The Talon propeller is made of polished stainless steel and features a significantly larger blade area to give the boat greater thrust and control, along with more grip and reduced ventilation during turns. They can help eliminate the “clunk” that typically accompanies the shifting of in-line four-stroke outboard engines. The SDS system also helps the engine function quietly, even at low speeds, and can reduce vibration throughout the boat.

The Talon SDS propeller can be used on Yamaha’s T50, T60, and F70 through F115 four-stroke engines, as well as 60hp though 130hp two-strokes. The Talon is available in pitches ranging from 9 to 13 inches. These new propellers are expected to become available starting in July 2016. For more information, visit www.yamahaoutboards.com.
