Exciting Changes For Manitou

July 2016 News Brady L. Kay

It’s hard not to be impressed with what’s rolling off the new Manitou pontoon line in Lansing, Mich., these days. It appears an emphasis has been placed on not only creating pontoons that look sporty and fast, but also perform as well.

Rumors and excitement concerning its 2017 lineup are quickly spreading throughout the industry with the manufacturer set to welcome its dealers next week to a private sneak peek showing of the latest models. Here is a preview from what you can expect from Manitou for the upcoming year:

Its biggest news is something Manitou fans have been anticipating for years and it has finally arrived: the all-new twin engine X-plode XT SHP that will be available with up to 600hp!

The 27 X-plode Twin Engine drives like it is only 23 long and powers through the turns like only a Manitou pontoon can!

On the other end of the shopping spectrum, Manitou’s first entry-level model, the 20 Aurora RF, is only available with two tubes and is sure to attract a lot of potential buyers in 2017.

The SE floorplan was reworked for the new model year and is available in the Encore pictured here as well as the Oasis model.

New for 2017, the single engine 25 SHP and 27 SHP models are now rated for up to 350hp, which is a welcome addition to those who love to go fast on the water.

The all-new blaze orange color is available for 2017 in its XT model lineup. Or you can take it one step further and have the Manitou factory paint it any color you want! For the custom look you just have to send the Michigan-based manufacturer a code and choose from its four furniture color choices.

Also new for the upcoming year, you can have the fiberglass painted to match your walls in the Legacy and X-plode models for 2017, very impressive.

Finally, it’s worth noting the 25 Legacy SRS SHP with twin 300 Evinrude G2 engines is now capable of speeds over 65 miles per hour! Exciting changes are being made for the 2017 year and it sounds like Manitou will once again be offering an exhilarating ride!
