Sing Me That Old Standard

Everybody likes options, right? In our industry, it’s de rigueur to have a plethora of choices to let you custom-tailor your boat to your exact desires. What if you could get a boat that had all of that stuff as standard equipment? Well, my friend, it sounds like you’d be onboard a Coach pontoon.

We caught up recently with Wendell Payne, the vice president of Coach Pontoons, and he gave us the lowdown on their great models. The Louisiana-based company, which shares a manufacturing plant with Misty Harbor pontoons in Iowa, sets itself apart from other manufacturers with fantastic craftsmanship, high-quality components, and above all else, a long list of high-end features that all come standard with each model. The particular model we were on was the 250 RL, which stands for “rear lounge” because of the dual rear loungers on either side of the stern area. But as we said, the standout feature of all their boats is, well, all of them, because everything that would be an additional upgrade on a different boat is simply part of the package on a Coach pontoon.
