Docks by Dean and Newaygo Marine to become known as Newaygo Marine

May 2017 Industry, News

Seawalls and Docks by Dean and Newaygo Marine, the latter best known around here for their Trifecta Pontoon boats, have recently merged, and, as a result, both will be known as Newaygo Marine effective April 20, 2017.

Seawalls and Docks by Dean is currently a leading force in docks, lifts and seawall installation in West Michigan while Newaygo Marine's expertise lies in the sales of Sanger Surf Boats and Trifecta Pontoons as well as marine repair, boat storage and other lakefront services. The merger has come about after Newaygo Marine was purchased by Bill Dean in 2013.

In 2005, Bill Dean founded Seawalls and Docks by Dean which sold and installed docks and lifts for residential properties.  By 2006, Seawalls and Docks by Dean also installed vinyl seawalls for their clients. Mr. Dean has built a team that leads in quality and promptness. Seawalls and Docks by Dean quickly became a great success and by 2010, Bill was able to expand his offerings even further by adding outdoor hillside tram systems which is a division of Newaygo Marine known as High Bank Trams.

Newaygo Marine was founded in 1962 by Warren Hardy. It was first known as Newaygo Marine Sales and specialized in Aluma-Craft, Thompson, Cherokee and Pontoon boats. Mr. Hardy earned an exceptional reputation in the community due to his outstanding customer service and quality product offering.  The family business was passed on to Mr. Hardy’s son, Dennis Hardy, 1978 which held on to the business until it was purchased by Bill Dean, Kyle Dean, Brian Natchegall and Nick Brinker in 2013.  Although the manufacturers and owners have changed over the years, the company focus on customer service and quality products has remained strong from the beginning.

“We are excited about the combination of Seawalls and Docks by Dean and Newaygo Marine. Having both brands under a unified name makes sense because we have been operating as one team for a few years and now will be able to focus our marketing more wisely,” said owner, Bill Dean. “Our main focus is and always has been customer service followed closely by offering only quality products and always striving to be the best in our industry.  The team we have today is outstanding and full of energy.  We know that respect is not given, it is earned, and here at Newaygo Marine we start every day with a goal to earn each customer's business and respect.”

It seems that these two brands are only going to be stronger together and with all they have to offer, Newaygo Marine is your one-stop shop for fun in the sun.
