Does your Dad need a $500 waterlife makeover?

June 2017 News

Post your best Dad photo on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags #DeckOutDad#WestMarine and #TestedTough for your chance to win.

West Marine, the world’s premier Waterlife Outfitter, in partnership with Columbia, an industry leader in outdoor apparel and products, is pleased to launch the 2017 “Deck Out Dad” Contest. With Father’s Day in mind, West Marine and Columbia are looking for five dads in need of a Waterlife makeover.

Each of the five winners will receive a $500 West Marine Gift Card.

From new fishing rods to a GPS system to better foul weather gear or maybe even a new cooler, this contest is designed to help dad start the season with the very best in Waterlife gear.

Here is how to win:

  1. Follow West Marine on Instagram or Facebook.
  2. Post new or old photos with captions that tell why your dad deserves to win.
  3. Submissions will only be accepted from June 1–30, 2017.
  4. Winners will be announced on our Facebook page after the contest ends.

“So many people love being out on the water with their dads — even if their dad could use a makeover,” says Deb Radcliff, West Marine Senior Vice President, Marketing. “The contest is a fun way to share photos of friends and families who enjoy spending time together on the water. And the winners will have the chance to be decked out in style for the upcoming season.”

After the winners are announced on July 10, 2017, the winning entries each will be asked to visit a West Marine to pick up their $500 gift card and must be willing to participate in a brief photo shoot that shows them shopping inside the West Marie store of their choice (but what dad buys is up to him!) Winners also must also agree to use of the photos by West Marine for promotional purposes.
