Kelvin 36 Multi-Tool: PDB TESTED No. 219

February 2018 Feature Brady L. Kay

We’ve seen and tested multi-tools in the past, but I must admit I’ve never seen anything quite like this Kelvin 36. For starters, you can hammer, screw and measure with this all-in-one device! Plus it’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, which means never having to keep a giant tool box onboard for those quick little fixes.

With a retail price of $49.99 I was curious to see just how well this Kelvin 36 would really work, so I went online and ordered one. It’s available in cyan, magenta and white but I thought the black one looked the best. It’s lightweight and so extremely tough you could probably run it over with a car. Not that I would, in fear of voiding the 10-year warranty.

Seriously, 36 different tools is a lot to pack into this thing and that alone is quite impressive. Some of our favorite features include the 6-foot tape measure, magnet, flashlight, a small cutting blade, hammer and level just to name a few. While a must for any boat, it’s hard to argue why you shouldn’t have one in your glove box too or in a drawer in your home. After all, you never know when you’re going to need something this handy.
