DOONEY & BOURKE

PDB TESTED No. 245 Regatta Boat Shoes

Published in the May 2018 Issue July 2020 Feature Brady L. Kay

When I mentioned I was reviewing a new product from DOONEY & BOURKE my wife immediately perked up. Seeing the excitement in her eyes I quickly reminded her I work for a boating magazine so we don’t review purses—although after seeing its MLB and NFL collections it did give me some ideas for her birthday.

The luxury handbag and accessory designer recently launched the Regatta Boat Shoe for both men and women and it is centered on quality craftsmanship like all of its other products.

Priced at $135, the handsewn moccasin construction by master craftsmen in Portugal adds comfort, durability and style and the grooved anti-slip outsoles provide exceptional traction on all surfaces. Plus the padded foam footbeds conform to your feet for all-day comfort in, on and around the water. (They’re basically like walking on marshmallows.) The luxurious full-grain 3MM suede-backed leather uppers from Hoffman Tannery provide a beautiful finish that only gets better with age.
