Bennington sets up dealer network in Australia

Bennington Boats will be launching in Australia next month with a network of dealers along the east coast. The U.S. pontoon brand will have showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne and on the Gold Coast.

Bennington Australia’s general manager Andy Clayton said the company had been in negotiations to bring the brand to Australia since December 2017. The pontoon builder was acquired by Polaris in May for $805 million.

Clayton said that new Bennington models are headed for Australia and that the full line will be introduced to the country over the next three months.

“The premium triple hull pontoon boat market in the U.S. has become the growth story of the last few years, outpacing all U.S. niches of pleasure boats in growth and market share,” Clayton said in a statement.

The new Bennington locations will include The Boat House in Sydney Harbor, Carrum Downs in Melbourne and a new showroom at The Boat Works on Queensland's Gold Coast.
