Larson Sold to Polaris

January 2019 News, Ask The Expert Trade Only News Web Exclusive

According to a letter to Larson dealers from Rob Parmentier, CEO of Larson-Marquis, assets of the Larson brand have been sold to Polaris Industries. Parmentier said in the letter that “we signed the papers to close on the sale” to Polaris. Trade Only Today acquired the letter from a dealer who wishes to remain anonymous.

“The sale of the company means production will move and take place at another facility,” wrote Parmentier. “The moving of materials and assets will begin, immediately. It is our expectation to provide support to their transition team and company as long as they need and request it.”

Parmentier also wrote that he expects Polaris to start “sharing their business plan, process and procedures, how Larson strategically fits into their marine growth plans, along with the appropriate introductions and sharing of information to transition your business into theirs and vice versa.”

Polaris acquired Boat Holdings LLC last year.
