WOW-SOUND Portable Bluetooth Speaker

April 2019 Feature Roy Sparks Web Exclusive

The different ways to enjoy your boat are practically endless and for my family, anchoring in a cove and swimming ranks towards the top of that list. We recently invested is a portable Bluetooth speaker from WOW Watersports that takes our enjoyment to another level.

The new WOW-SOUND portable speaker pumps out 50 hours of 360-degree, high volume tunes on a single charge. That’s an impressive battery life to say the least. The innovative IP67-rated waterproof, shock- and dust-proof speaker connects with any Bluetooth-enabled mobile device and features four, 2-inch active speakers spaced evenly around the circumference and one 4-inch passive radiator on top for a big, deep bass. If you opt for a second one, they can connect for surround sound but we haven’t tried that yet.

When not floating in the water it fits most cupholders onboard and it even comes with an inflatable float, which you don’t need since the speaker is fully submersible, but the sound quality is better with it raised out of the water a little bit. One great added touch is the provided dry bag for your cell phone. Makes sense if you're using this speaker in the water, you’ll want to protect the music source too, which is likely your phone.

After trying it out it really does sound like you're listening to a much bigger speaker. Because we’ve never seen anything else quite like it, for $229.99 we feel it’s a worthy investment. For more information click here
