US Air Force Law Enforcement Specialist

Like Father Like Son

June 2019 Feature

Brian Wood’s father, William, served in the US Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant for 21 years. Always looking up to and admiring his father, Brian followed in his footsteps and also served in the Air Force from 1988 to 1992, becoming a Law Enforcement Specialist. During his service, Brian was stationed at Kwang-Ju Air Base in South Korea and at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

Brian grew up going out on all of his aunt’s pontoons that she had over the years. All these experiences helped him develop a love for pontooning and being out on the water that has stuck with him through his entire life.

“I especially remember when I was little going fishing with my parents, my aunt and her husband,” reminisced Brian. “Those were really good times.”

Now Brian’s been living in a lakeside community in the Lake Norman, N.C., area for over 13 years, and last year he decided it was high time he got his own boat. Brian is now the proud owner of a 2018 Manitou Aurora 22LE with a Yamaha 115 and he couldn’t be happier.

You can follow Brian on his YouTube channel, The Woods Online, to see what he’s up to.
