Returning To Our Heritage

JC TriToon’s 28 TT HTH mixes old design with new tricks

July 2019 Feature

Did you ever imagine, as a kid, the kind of car you would drive when you were older? Perhaps you used to ramble off brand names like Ferrari, Porsche or Audi, when your friends would babble about the homes and the cars they were going to own as adults. Joke’s on you, Timmy. Good luck owning that green BMW with that nine to five.

It’s probably fair to guess that not many of us knew with surety the model we wanted when we were five years old, but we all knew the color. Mine, like many, was fire engine red. Something about the color seemed infused with energy and excitement. However, now that I’m a bit older and wiser I know that I’ll only purchase a red sports car if I want to get pulled over once a month.

As we leave behind the age of innocence we begin to realize there are more important things than the color of your car. For example, we begin to look at key factors such as mileage and safety. The same can be said when it comes to shopping for a pontoon. Colors become less important as you realize there isn’t enough room to store your belongings or comfortably fit all of your friends onboard.

But despite the necessity of these practicalities we still can’t help but be drawn back to our childish dreams. JC TriToon’s 28 TT HTH provides a way for you to not only remain practical, but also fulfill your most whimsical fantasies.

Staying Cool

The panel colors available for the 28 TT HTH are enough to make you roar with excitement. Options range from dark blue to wineberry, or go sleek and elegant with a light champagne.

The color options on the 28 TT HTH are sure to satisfy your inner child and make you the coolest pontooner on your lake, but the Mister Comfort misting system will keep you literally cool on those sweltering summer days.

The Mister Comfort misting system is a practical way to ensure that both you and your guests remain cool on a hot summer day. Mister Comfort is an open-air misting system that sprays a cooling mist, which automatically dries against your skin, ensuring you remain cool, but not wet or sticky.

We all know the dangers of dehydration and overheating, which make this system an essential on any trips you plan for a warm day on the water. After all there’s no point in looking cool if you don’t feel cool.

No More Make-Believe

With the helm of this boat there is no need to imagine yourself as captain. The helm of this TriToon allows you to take immediate control and feel the full amount of power you used to pretend to hold in your hands during your make-believe pirating days.

The Simrad gauge is perfectly placed right in the center of the helm, making it easy to keep your eye on all of the necessary information provided. There are also a couple of standard gauges on each side of the Simrad and rocker switches below.

Directly across from the helm console is an almost identical helm chair with an extending footrest, allowing your first mate to kick back and relax as you take the reigns. Don’t let you newfound power get to you so much though that you forget to check out the rear-facing loungers just behind the helm chairs. They’re wide, comfortable, have USB ports, and your favorite feature of course will be that you can raise and lower the seats with the press of a button.

“There’s plenty of room for everyone,” shared Brady L. Kay, PDB executive editor. “You can never have too much storage on a pontoon. That’s why I really like the ski locker. It’s really deep and a great use of space. It’s just a great all-around boat.”

The swim deck has dual swim platforms, a massive ski/tow bar, and a big Suzuki 350 on the back, basically all of the tools needed for a fun time on the water. Kids will get to enjoy diving into the water while you as captain get to power across the lake with the speed you’ve always wanted.

Powering Forward

With the HTH option, JC TriToon makes a return to its roots, proving the lasting strength of their unique design.

“The High Tide Hull is something that comes from the JC TriToon classic that was the original trademarked TriToon,” stated Kerry Clem at Boundary Waters Resort & Marina. “The reason that JC went to that high tide hull is that the industry is moving to bigger and bigger horsepower.”

“Instead of doing it like everyone else and expanding the transom out 16 inches to 2 feet, JC accomplished the same thing by going up in height and it allowed them to do a 25-inch transom for that big Suzuki 350 and do it without the extended transom. They went up instead of out and the end result is really amazing.”

The Full-Ride

“From what I can see, there’s nothing in the industry that’s even close in terms of the structure and the integrity of the hull and deck to be able to accommodate wider horsepower engines. And again, this goes back to JC’s heritage,” Clem said.

The 28 TT HTH is the ride you always dreamed of, so as you purchase the pontoon of your dreams you can rest assured this boat isn’t just satisfying a childish fantasy, but all of the needs of a serious pontooner.
