Scholarship Opportunity

October 2019 Feature

If you’re reading this page, it’s already kind of obvious you’re passionate about boating. But have you ever read a boating article and thought to yourself, “I could do that!” Well, here’s your chance.

Boating Writers International (BWI) created a scholarship fund to honor undergraduate college students—from any major—who demonstrate passion for the field of boating media and have a clear career goal to pursue this field.

You can download the application form at www.bwi.org/downloads/scholarship/BWI-Scholarship-App-20.pdf. Applications will be accepted through December 15, 2019. If you know a deserving college student who would like to make a career in boating journalism, photography, video, broadcasting, film, or art, please encourage them to apply. Judges will look for applicants with talent, promise and firsthand knowledge of the boating life.

To be considered, applications must be completed in full and emailed to info@bwi.org.

The scholarship will be awarded at the annual BWI meeting at the Miami International Boat Show, February 2020. (www.bwi.org)
