Michigan is "Filling The Boat"

Unique clothing drive helps those in Charlevoix County community

November 2019 Feature

The season of giving is here and one northern Michigan business is holding a unique donation drive to help those in need within their community.

Dry Harbour Marine in Charlevoix is working with Kari's Closet to collect clothing, shoes and other items in a 24-foot Avalon pontoon boat.

Kari's Closet is a clothing ministry that was started in honor of Kari Way. Way was tragically killed in a boating accident a few years ago.

The goal is to fill the boat with the items to give to Charlevoix County families and schools.

The boat drive kicked off Thursday morning and will be going until December 15.

If you would like to donate, you can drop your items off at Dry Harbour Marine Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
