PDB TESTED: MyMedic

MyFAK First Aid Kit

Published in the September 2021 Issue October 2022 Feature, PDB Tested

The term “must-have” doesn’t have the same meaning to everyone, especially when it comes to boating. While you could make the case for stereos and coolers, the MyFAK first aid kid from MyMedic is probably the closest thing to a boating must-have product as you can get.

Having first aid essentials close by that can easily be stored in the compartment under your seats is a great addition to any pontoon or deck boat.

The ultra-compact kit has over 100 expert-selected first aid and trauma supplies in only 7.5 inches of space and weighs less than three pounds. It has everything you need to treat blisters, sprains and fractures, blocked airways, broken bones and more.

The impressive line of MyMedic kits start at $50, but for my needs I went with the basic MyFAK that retails for $120. The case is available in five different colors, although red makes the most sense to me for a first aid kit.

Inspired by the tragic death of a family member, MyMedic is on a mission to ensure you never have to face a minor or major medical emergency empty-handed. Each of their compact first aid kits comes equipped with the highest quality tools and medical supplies hand-selected to be effective in real life situations.
