Yamaha Introduces 27-Inch Pitch XTO OS Propeller

October 2021 News

Yamaha Marine introduced a new 27-inch pitch XTO OS propeller during the 2021 International Boatbuilders Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Tampa, Florida. The new propeller helps fine tune performance for lighter weight XTO Offshore applications.

“The Yamaha XTO Offshore outboard continues to amaze boaters with its performance, power, and ease of use,” said David Meeler, New Product Introduction Department Manager, Yamaha Marine Engine Systems. “It’s also finding its way into more diverse boating applications. The combination of the XTO Offshore with this new, 27-inch pitch prop is a great fit for offshore applications that have the power to take advantage of a taller pitch propeller.”

Designed exclusively to harness the immense torque potential of Yamaha’s revolutionary 5.6-liter V8 XTO Offshore outboard, XTO OS propellers leverage a large diameter and specially designed blade surface area to push a large column of water. They work in concert with the XTO Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust system to produce massive thrust, in both forward and reverse. The XTO Offshore and the XTO OS propeller can produce up to 300 percent more reverse thrust than Yamaha’s previous V8 outboard, the F350.

In addition, Yamaha’s patented Shift Dampener System (SDS) greatly reduces – or eliminates – shift clunk and propeller vibrations that may be present at low speeds. SDS is highly effective during use of the XTO’s Pattern Shift feature for ultra-slow trolling.

Yamaha’s new 27-inch pitch XTO Offshore propeller is available now.
