Representative Rudy Yakym (R-IN-02), whose district includes boat manufacturer facilities in/around Elkhart, Ind., was recently welcomed by Smoker Craft Inc., and 230 of their dealer partners, during the company’s annual dealer meeting in New Paris, Ind.
An avid boating enthusiast and advocate for the recreational boating industry, Rep. Yakym also joined Doug Smoker, Smoker Craft President, and Phil Smoker, Vice President of Sales, for a tour of their manufacturing facilities. They shared details on recreational boating’s significant economic impact in Indiana, including over 420 marine businesses that support more than 17,000 jobs in the state.
