23UC is an elegant and luxurious midline offering

First Impression
Technically this Corsa is somewhere in the middle of the Barletta lineup, but it looks and feels extremely high-end to us. An elegant and luxurious vibe is reflected with a classic conservative color scheme, plus it's loaded with an abundance of standard amenities that might be options on competitor models. Simply put, our initial impression was a good one.

Highlights
A new helm console trend is to include analog gauges with an additional touchscreen and Barletta has it dialed in with this dash. Two multi-function gauges anchor the look with a 7-inch Simrad GPS Map located to the right, just above the Hertz audio controls. The single row of vertical and lighted push buttons on each side of the steering wheel complete the look, and we even discovered a hidden wireless phone charger at the helm as well. Other benefits of the raised helm stand is a locking glove box on the side, as well as a hidden pet food dish built into the base of the platform. This Indiana-based manufacturer is known for its pet-friendly layouts, so they also include bow and port gates with Doggie-Dock View See-Through Acrylic panels. When the gate is closed your dog can see out, and the captain can also keep an eye on the dock when pulling up.

Behind the identical helm chairs that slide, swivel, and recline is a multi-function Ultra-Lounge that offers a variety of different ways it can be used. Some ways include as back-to-back bench seats, forward-facing and rear-facing loungers, as well as the benches laying completely flat. There are even USB ports and “Yeti-Ready” cupholders built into this lounger.

Outside the stainless stern gate on the extended platform is a Tube-Tow Watersports Cage with two stainless steel fender baskets incorporated into the design. Boarding from the water is nearly effortless with the standard Revo ladder from LilliPad Marine that includes two stainless steel handrails. On this particular test boat, the LilliPad Diving Board was included as an option, and installation is easy since the stainless accessory Ghost Mounts that are flush with the deck when not being used come standard.

Other key features include a large in-floor ski locker, anchor locker, built-in table into the port chaise lounge and a Power Bimini top.

Closer Look
As part of the standard Triple Toon package you gain three 26-inch diameter pontoons that are connected to the 3/4-inch marine decking with a combination box/I-beam and C-channel hybrid cross-member configuration. There are full-length dual stage lifting strakes on each of the three pontoons that include an invasive species flush and a full-length solid keel. Worth noting, the reinforced .125-gauge nose cones include Wave Tamers, and constructed inside each of the tubes are baffles to add to the overall strength. Up top the exterior panels with blackout rails around the perimeter stand on average over 25 inches tall.

Throttle Down
It was an absolute pleasure to put the throttle down on this Mercury Verado 250hp outboard that had us reaching a top speed in the 40s after a blistering zero-to-20 mph time of just 3.7 seconds. She dives into sharp turns like a v-hull bottom boat, and is extremely responsive and fun to drive.

Why Buy
It's obvious with all the thoughtful features and the overall layout that Barletta engineers spend time on the water. The long list of standard features help take the guesswork out of what's needed on a boat, and as-tested we feel this Corsa is going to appeal to a variety of consumers with varying needs.

Why we love this boat... See-through gates, in-floor anchor locker, sporty-looking helm console, multi-function lounge–the list of above-and-beyond cool features appears to be endless.

Just being picky...There is plentiful storage below the Ultra-Lounge but some compartments are easier to access than others and require the movable backrest to be in a specific position.
