    Default Tap Fins- An Eye Opening Ride

    To all my fellow forum readers: In the short time that I have participated in this forum, I have seen a lot of print dedicated to the Tap Fin system. PDB has tested them and many comments and questions have been put out there for consideration. Well, here is my two cents worth. Last Thursday, I was within about 150 miles of Lake Norman and decided to give Malcolm a call to see if he could demo his product. He very cordially agreed to see me in about 3-4 hours. Well, due to my lack of sign reading, I made it 4 hours. When I finally arrived, Malcolm was waiting and gave me a thorough walk-around of the Tap Fin installation on his big 27' pontoon. Folks, this not a shabby, flimsy tack on of some thin slivers of aluminum. These fins would likely make it much harder to dent the side of your pontoon if you banged the dock. On performance: I obviously don't know how this pontoon performed before Tap Fins, but I am smart enough to make an educated guess that the Fins made a tremendous difference, especially in handling. If you use your pontoon for towing toys and need to turn sharply to retrieve your towee, or to give them another ride, the Tap Fins facillitate a turn ability that will truly. astound. Overall- Truly Astounding!!! This is "NOT" a paid endorsement.

    Hey cwag911;
    Hope I didn't offend too much. I'll do better next time. I will tell you this, I had no idea that Mooresville and Lake Norman were such a mecca of boating opportunity. I was impressed. Catch you next time.I will be going close to you to pick up my new boat on the other side of Knoxville, but doubt that time will permit a visit. If it does, send me your phone number and I'll give you a call. Did you notice the new boat on my signature?

    To Cwag,
    As a valued member of the forum and experienced pontoon owner, have you ever gone for a ride on a boat with the tap fins?
    That way us people who value your opinion can get another idea of how they perform. I am sure funtooner would be more than happy to give you a ride.
