I believe the old forums became such a mess after all that happened, there was no saving it or sorting it out. I can't blame the staff at PDB for that. I can blame those that disrupted what was without a doubt the best pontoon forum online..

I couldn't agree with you more about the demise of the old forum Rick.
I did email Brady and ask about the old forums, he has asked someone from the new IT service they are using to look into what is or isn't recoverable and will get back to me, maybe he will notice this and chime in here.

Funny but there is more than enough blame to go around here on this
As I asked before "where are the old members ? "
When integrity shows up with experience and knowledge they disappear ? Hypocrisy ???

I don't think it matters anymore, whats done is done. I think what we all need to do is try to make what we have here a place for people to come and meet to share our interests in the pontoon boats experience. If the people from the old forum work together to make that happen we can make this a great forum again.

I still believe if the magazine had taken a scalpel to the old forums instead of an axe to clean it up, they wouldn't have been such a mess.
Should have given a trusted member Moderator Privileges, and had them go through them.
I hope they are saveable.

I agree Randy, there was a wealth of good information and conversation in that old froum. I hope Brady's new guys can find some of it for us.

Does anyone from PDB actually read these forums anymore? Are they actually working on the restoration?
We haven't heard anything from Trevor since his initial welcome.

I don't think they are paying much attention to us. The only way I know to get there attention is to email someone. I've kind of been waiting to see if someone jumps in here.
I have been in touch with Brady in the last week and he says they are looking at what is salvageable. He said the IT dept. has been moved out of house and there is a communication gap now.
I guess we're on our own here so if it's going to get better it will get better with the folks here pushing it.

I just spoke to our hosting company, and unfortunately, the old forums no longer exist. I apologize for the delay in updating you all on this; I know the old forums were important to you. Also, I'm sorry I haven't been more visible on the forums. Still trying to get my sea legs, as it were. If anyone needs to contact me, either send me a message through the forums or send me an email to trevor@harrispublishing.com.
