The NV strakes were one of the best performance features I ever saw. The side by side, one with, one without videos they put out were the best sales tool ever. I always wondered why Tracker stopped them after only a few years.

Not to get too technical here, but the dealer who told you there is no difference was wrong. Generally speaking, power requirement goes up with the cube of speed. So conversely, speed increases by the cube root of the power ratio. A 115 will probably yield about 9% more speed, or maybe 3 mph.

Side Flow Resistance , Velocity off the flow force is applied.
When there was a 40 HP not much flow force coming from it. ( More talk than fact )
