Thread: EZACDC Wiring harness and dual battery Perko switch setup

Default EZACDC Wiring harness and dual battery Perko switch setup

Replaced my old wiring with a harness from EZACDC. I currently have a dual battery setup with a Perko switch Batt. 1 batt 2 both and off are the selections. The new harness runs the nav lights, docking lights (4 of them). Which battery do I connect the EZACDC pos and neg to? Kinda confused.

    Hope I am making sense...lol

I would contact them and see what they say. Normally navigation and docking lights are wired to the starting battery (Main battery). But since you have 2 batteries, best to be sure..

Hi the lights are important and I would connect them to the switch that says both, in case one battery dies and you can switch to the other one.the radio and livewell pump if you have one I would connect them to one battery because those drain batteries faster.

If I have 2 batteries in a boat system I connect the big motor, an automatic bilge pump, and the running lights to the "starting battery", everything else goes on the "house battery". If all of the lights you describe are powered by your ezacdc device I would hook it to whichever battery is connected to the big motor and I would not add any additional accessories to that harness.

Unless I am missing something all your systems are going to be pulling off both batteries at the same time whenever the perko switch is in the BOTH position.

Is the ezacdc a harness or a combining device?
