...I do have a couple of fish pics from my last trip out to test repairs and and try to salvage my motor. No go on the motor. The starter repair did not correct the noise issue i was hearing, nor did an impeller/seal replacement and the cause became obvious once I finished destroying the lower unit on this last outing back in August. Luckily I only went out as far as the no wake zone because I suspected the would be the final trip for this motor so limping back to the ramp was not a problem. Good news was the old toon's last outing was a good one. She did me proud and got us on two nice fish with her dying breath...

The bad news is that I've had to replace the roof on our house, buy a new fridge, and need to have our breaker panel in the house replaced. That means a new motor will have to wait a few months till finances recover. I'll be back out there fishing again by the end of next summer hopefully.

I've got a 40 hp Johnny here that I'm going to pull the powerhead off of for a motor I'm fixing up to put on my 'toon in the Spring. I'll be left with the bottom half of the outboard, which you are welcome to. Don't ask me the year right now, early-mid eighties. I can't give it away but I can let you have everything for $100.

I might even be able to get it down into the Norfolk area for you.

I will also have the complete '76 55 off my 'toon for $500 if you're interested in that. The only reason I'm pulling it off is to get the tilt and trim with the '90ish motor I'm fixing up.

143lbs is the state and world record caught in Kerr/Buggs Island lake. The James river record and former state record was 106lbs, currently swimming in the Bass Pro Shops aquarium in Ashland.

Yup......... We see that fish after we eat at the Islamadora fish company in Bass Pro shop in Hanover. They have good fish and chips and a mahi mahi smothered w/onions sandwich! Hmmmm!

A bit of good news. The panel swap I had to have done on the house turned out to be below the electricians estimate so now I have a little more in my motor fund. Not much more, but every little bit will help.
