Are you saying that the boat on the right above, in the picture with 2 side by side, was as crudded up as the one on the left? If that is the case, that is the best cleaning job I've ever seen on a pontoon log. Please tell us what the process is to get the dirty one that clean.

I cleaned it, ..." Toon Bright " leave it on for 7 to 10 min Power wash off redo if hard spots need it.
That is where I found most of this out working on pontoons all day.

Aquatic Life .... Zebra Mussels all kind of stuff gets in side the strake over a few seasons that weight adds up . ( sand from sand bar )
