"We are very excited about this agreement. The name Sony is synonymous with high-grade entertainment products, and we know that adding Sony equipment to our boats will enhance our owners' confidence in our brand," says Mike Burke, vice presidnet of sales and marketing for Sea Ray. "Plus, from a lifestyle perspective, Sony understands consumer entertainment needs. This relationship is yet another way that we can ensure our customers enjoy the experience of owning a Sea Ray."
Sony will be participating as a major sponsor for Sea Ray's AquaPalooza Signature Event, taking place from July 18 to 20, 2008, at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. The company will also provide portable GPS units for Sea Ray's Demo Days, where boaters can test-drive the revolutionary new Zeus and Axius propulsion systems.
"Sony Marine products provide an enjoyable entertainment experience for famili0es and friends spending quality time on the water," says Mike Kahn, director of marketing for mobile electronics at Sony Electronics. "We value the opportunity to work with a leading recreational boating company like Sea Ray and to participate in their events where consumers can listen to great music and also experience the fantastic performance of Sony Marine products."
Sony's stereo head units are compatible with Sea Ray's current onboard electronics and will be integrated into the 2009 model line. "Sony's reputation for excellence in product quality and entertainment make it a perfect choice for Sea Ray," says Burke. "We hope to continue this relationship over time in order to offer our owners the best product and lifestyle opportunities available."
