Docking Gets Better And Better

March 2016 Product PDB Staff

StormFender LLC was honored with an Innovation Award at the 2015 Miami International Boat Show for its StormFender dock-mounted fender system. This system runs the entire length of a dock or slip along an HDPE mounting track with two parallel grooves. These grooves accept the boltropes sewn into the fender cover’s backside, and together the system prevents accidental docking bumps and damage. Thanks to the closed-cell foam construction, it absorbs energy and allows a helmsman the relief of knowing there is a smaller likelihood of harmful docking error.

As an added bonus, the three-tool installation is easy and can be removed seasonally. The StormFender comes with a comprehensive warranty and is always in the best position to protect your boat—an advantage over hanging fenders, which can sometimes shift position or deflate.

Maintaining its integrity against sun and salt water, StormFender is marine-tough and retails at $57.50 to $66 per foot depending on the style, with discounts available for larger volume orders. (800-295-3464/www.stormfender.com)
