JVC Stereo Built For Boaters

March 2016 Product PDB Staff

JVC’s KD-R85MBS is one of the most fully-equipped stereo receivers out there. Improving upon the previous year’s model by adding a built-in CD player and three sets of RCA pre-amplified outputs, it also has an AM/FM tuner, iPhone/Android compatibility via Bluetooth or USB, and the option to add XM satellite radio.

The Bluetooth functionality lets you make hands-free phone calls, as well as control the stereo with a compatible phone or tablet. Any way you choose to listen to your tunes will be supported. You can also purchase one of two available remote controls so you can adjust the music from anywhere on your pontoon. One is wired directly into the boat, while the other is wireless and is recommended for line-of-sight use.

The KD-R85MBS is being released earlier than expected, just in time to get you ready for the summer boating season. The receiver itself retails for $129.99, while the optional remotes cost $79.99 (wired) and $14.99 (wireless). (800-950-5005/www.jvc.com)
